Sri Swamiji received Sanyasa Diksha from Swami Chidbhavanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna tradition; studied Advaita Vedanta Sastra under Swami Paramarthanandaji of Arsha Vidya tradition; is the pontiff succeeding Swami Santanandaji of Sri Bhuvaneshwari Avadhuta Vidya Pitham.

Sri Swami Omkaranandaji is one of the most distinguished Acharyas of this era. Deeply rooted in tradition, Sri Swamiji has his own style of unfolding the scriptures.

Having endowed with eloquence in two great languages Tamil and Sanskrit, one will be astonished to see Swamiji quoting Tayumanavar hymns for an Upanishad Mantra and Gita for Tirukkural and vice versa.
